SECTION 1: DESCRIPTION

Upscale is an opportunity for second-stage companies to scale their businesses by crafting a tailored strategic growth plan. Eligible businesses will have access to a comprehensive suite of services including one-on-one advising, access to specialized research tools and professional services, and ongoing strategic support.

Participants can expect to achieve key business outcomes, including:

Crafting effective marketing strategies
Securing and optimizing revenue streams
Generating leads and increasing sales
Preparing for investment readiness and obtaining funding
Enhancing operational efficiency and process optimization
Expanding market research and diversifying markets

SECTION 2: DISCLAIMER

Consent(Required)

Consent and Release: Participants agree that SREDA & EDR may use their business name, logo, photograph, image and/or likeness to create marketing material or media material specific to the participant. These materials may be used to promote Upscale and can be provided to the participant for their own promotional activities.

Use of Business Information: Business information gathered by SREDA & EDR will be kept confidential and used for the purposes of administering the program, matching with experts, and/or providing tailored support.

Engagement: Applicants agree to participate fully in the program’s one-on-one advising, peer learning sessions and networking events. One-on-one meetings and/or workshops can be done virtually or in-person. In-person participation is required on the following dates: June 25, August 28, Finale date in December TBD.

Participation Fee: Companies selected to participate in Upscale will be required to submit a one-time participation fee. In Saskatoon, participation fees are $1,250 + GST and go towards SREDA membership, allowing for access to Partner Program benefits outside of Upscale. In Regina, the participation fees are $1,250 (GST included) and will go towards program expenses. All participation fees are non-refundable. Payment instructions will be provided upon acceptance to the program.

Travel Requirement: Participating companies will be expected to travel between Saskatoon-Regina or Regina-Saskatoon one time over the course of the program for intra-provincial learning and networking events. Costs associated with transportation or accommodation are the responsibility of the participant.

To be eligible for the program businesses must meet the following criteria:(Required)

Be a for-profit Saskatoon Region* or Greater Regina Area-based business, and in operation for at least two years with an established business plan

Employees: 0 to 149 employees

Revenue: $1 million to $50 million

Must operate in one of the following industries: agriculture, mining, manufacturing, energy, life sciences/biotechnology or technology

*Saskatoon Region: Town of Aberdeen, RM of Blucher, Village of Clavet, RM of Corman Park, Town of Delisle, Town of Hepburn, Town of Langham, City of Martensville, Town of Rosthern, City of Saskatoon, City of Warman, Whitecap Dakota First Nation

Description:

This documentation request will come via email once your application has been received. Documentation can include your Indian status card, Métis membership card, or another form of approved Indigenous citizenship documentation from an approved issuing authority (Government of Canada, Métis Nation – Saskatchewan, Métis Nation of Alberta, etc.). Applications with documentation found to be altered, counterfeit, or fraudulent will be revoked and reported to the appropriate issuing authority.
